சிற்பிகள் மன்ற ஐந்தாவது பொதுக்கூட்டம்

சிற்பிகள் மன்றம் தனது ஐந்தாவது பொதுக்கூட்டத்தை ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை, செப்டம்பர் 30-ஆம் தேதியன்று நடத்தியது.

முப்பதுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட உறுப்பினர்கள் இதில் கலந்துகொண்டனர். இது தேர்தல் ஆண்டாக இருந்ததால், நிர்வாக குழுவில் அனுபவம் வாய்ந்தவர்களோடு சில இளம் உறுப்பினர்களும் நியமிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்.

சிற்பிகள் மன்றத்திற்கு வித்திட்டவர்களில் ஒருவரும் சமுக சேவையில் முன்னோடியுமான திரு வி சௌரிராஜலு மீண்டும் சிற்பிகள் குழுவில் பங்குபெற்றிருப்பது உறுப்பினர்களுக்கு மகிழ்ச்சி அளித்தது. சிற்பிகள் தனது நிதி நிலையை மேம்படுத்தவும் சமுக சேவையை தொடரவும் பாடுபடும் என தலைவர் மு குணசேகரன் தெரிவித்துகொண்டார். உறுப்பினர்களின் ஆதரவுக்கும் பங்கேற்புக்கும் மன்றம் என்றும் கடமைபட்டிருப்பதாகவும் பல்வேறு நிகழ்ச்சிகள் அடங்கிய மற்றுமொரு பரபரப்பான ஆண்டை மன்றம் எதிர்பார்ப்பதாகவும் அவர் கூறினார்.

முக்கியமாக தமிழர் பேரவை தலைவர் டாக்டர் ஆர் தேவேந்திரன்,
திரு பாண்டியன், திரு தர்மராஜ் மற்றும் திரு பாலு ஆகியோரின் ஆதரவுக்கும் வழிகாட்டுதலுக்கும் திரு குணசேகரன் நன்றி தெரிவித்தார்.

சிற்பிகள் மன்றத்திற்கு வழங்கப்பட்ட பங்களிப்புக்காக தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட உறுப்பினர்களுக்கு நினவுபொருள்கள் கொடுக்கப்பட்டன.

Sirpigal Society's 5th Annual General Meeting

Sirpigal held its 5th AGM on Sunday 30 September 2012.

More than 30 members attended the AGM. As this was an election year, there was a good mix of candidates, some very young members nominated to be in the Management Committee.

Members were happy to know that Mr V Sourirajalu, a founder member of Sirpigal and a pioneer in community service, is back to the Sirpigal team.
President, Sirpigal – M Kunaseakananan said that Sirpigal would work hard to increase its financial resources and ensure its continuity in community services. He also added that Sirpigal was ever grateful to members for their support and participation. Mr Kuna informed that Sirpigal has another exciting year filled with entertainment programmes and community activities.

He specially thanked Dr R Theyvendran, President TRC, Mr Pandiyan and Mr Tharmaraj for their support and guidance to Sirpigal. He also thanked Mr Balu for his tremendous support always.

Tokens of appreciation were also given to some members for their contributions to Sirpigal.
