தமிழ்ப் பட்டிமன்றக் கலைக் கழகத்தின் 67வது சிறப்புப் பட்டிமன்றம்      

 

தமிழ்ப் பட்டிமன்றக் கலைக் கழகத்தின் 67 வது பட்டிமன்ற நிகழ்ச்சி 29 ஜூலை 2012 அன்று சிலோன் ஸ்போர்ட்ஸ் கிளப் அரங்கில் மிகச் சிறப்பாக நடைபெற்றது. சொற்கள மாணவர்கள் ‘நாம் எளிமையை மதிப்பதில்லை’ என்றும் கழகப் பேச்சாளர்கள் ‘நாம் எளிமையை மதிக்கிறோம்’ என்றும் பேசினார்கள்.

திரு எம்.ஜே. பிரசாத் அவர்கள் நடுவராகச் செயல்பட, மாணவர் அணியில் செல்வன் யூசுப் நஜிம், செல்வன் அஸ்வின் திரு, செல்வன் ப்ரதீப் மணிரத்னம் ஆகியோரும் கழக அணியில் முனைவர் தாமோதரன், திருமதி நிஷா, திரு யூசுப் ராவுத்தர் ரஜித் ஆகியோரும் பேசினார்கள்.

 

நிகழ்ச்சியின் முடிவில் திரு ஜேம்ஸ் தேவாஸ் அவர்களும் முனைவர் ராஜி சீனிவாசன் அவர்களும் மாணவர்களுக்கு அன்பளிப்புகள் வழங்கினார்கள். பேச்சாளர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் மிகவும் பயனுள்ள புத்தகங்கள் பரிசாக வழங்கப்பட்டன. நிகழ்ச்சி முடிவில் சிற்றுண்டியுடன் நிகழ்ச்சி சிறப்பாக நடந்தது.

The Tamil Pattimandara Kalai Kazhagam held its 67th Debate on Sunday 29 July at the Ceylon Sports Club's hall. The debate was between 3 students and 3 members of the Society. The topic was on Respect Simplicity' . The students had an interesting version where they spoke on ”Why they don’t Respect Simplicity’ while the members had an easier version: on why 'We respect Simplicity'.

Mr M.J. Prasad chaired the debate.

The 3 students - Yousof Najim, Ashvin and Pradeep Maniratnam gave their version why they don’t respect simplicity and if it was applicable at this present era. The society members Dr. Damodaran, Mrs. Nisha and Mr Yousof Rowther Rajid, of course argued that Simplicity is vital for one’s life. It was a very interesting and healthy exchange.

Book prizes were given away by Mr James Devas and Dr Raji Sreneevasan to all the debaters.
