சிலம்பு கண்ட செந்தமிழ் விழா

தமிழ் மொழி மாதத்தை முன்னிட்டு மாதவி இலக்கிய மன்றம் சிலம்பு கண்ட செந்தமிழ் விழா எனும் நிகழ்ச்சியை ஏப்ரல் 22-ஆம் தேதியன்று பி கோவிந்தசாமி பிள்ளை மண்டபத்தில் ஏற்பாடு செய்திருந்தது.

தமிழர் பேரவையின் ஆலோசகரும், முன்னாள் நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினருமான திரு சந்திரதாஸ் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக நிகழ்ச்சியில் கலந்துகொண்டார். தமிழ் மொழியின் மதிப்பையும் வளமையையும் எடுத்துக்காட்டிய இந்நிகழ்ச்சி குறிப்பாக இளையருக்கு பயனுள்ளதாக அமைந்தது.

டாக்டர் என் ஆர் கோவிந்தன் தலைமையில் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டிருந்த இந்த விழாவிற்கு வளர் தமிழ் இயக்கத் தலைவர், திரு விபி ஜோதி, தமிழ் மொழி பண்பாட்டுக் கழக தலைவர், திரு ஹரிகிரிஷ்ணன், தமிழர் பேரவையின் தலைவர் டாக்டர் ஆர் தேவேந்திரன், தமிழர் பேரவையின் பொதுச் செயலாளர் திரு வெ பாண்டியன், மற்றும் இதர தமிழ் அமைப்பின் தலைவர்கள், நன்கொடையாளர்கள், தமிழ் மொழி ஆர்வாளர்கள் என, சுமார் 300 பேர் இந்நிகழ்வில் கலந்துக்கொண்டனர்.

As part of the Tamil Language Festival, Mathavi Ilakkiya Mandram organised the Silambu Kanda Senthamizh Vizha event on Sunday 22 April at PGP Hall.

Dr Chandra Das, Advisor of TRC and former Member of Parliament was the Guest of Honour for the event. The event was well attended with many prominent community leaders from various Indian organisations. Mr VP Jothi and Mr Harikrishan were some of the leaders present. TRC was represented by its President and Secretary Mr Pandiyan.

The event depicted the value and richness of the Tamil language which was thought provoking especially to the younger generation. It was a befitting event, and credit goes Dr N R Govinden for organising an event which evoked sweet memories of our Tamil culture.
