ஃபுட்சால் காற்பந்துப் போட்டி 2012

சிண்டாவும், தமிழர் பேரவையும் இணைந்து நடத்திய ஃபுட்சால் காற்பந்துப்போட்டி, ஏபரல் 7-ஆம் தேதியன்று 101 பாலஸ்டியர் சாலையில் அமைந்துள்ள இலங்கை விளையாட்டு மன்றத்தில் சிறப்பாக நடைபெற்றது. மூன்றாவது முறையாக இது நடத்தப்படுகிறது என்பது குறிப்பிடதக்கது.

உயர்நிலை வகுப்பில் பயிலும் சமார் 200 இந்திய இளையர்களைக் கொண்ட 20 குழுக்கள் இப்போட்டியில் பங்கேற்றனர்.

சிங்கப்பூர் தரைப்படைத் தளபதி மேஜர் ஜெனரல் இராவிந்தர் சிங் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராகக் கலந்து கொண்டார். வெற்றிப்பெற்ற தலைசிறந்த 4 குழுக்களுக்கு முறையே $500, $300, $200, $100 ரொக்கப் பரிசுகள் வழங்கப் பட்டன.

The Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA) and Tamils Representative Council (TRC) jointly held its 3rd successive Futsal Fiesta on Saturday 7 April 2012 at Ceylon Sports Club. A total of 20 teams took part in this event.

A lot of enthusiasm was filled in this competition with many supporters turned to support the teams. Both TRC and SINDA can take pride for promoting this event that reflected racial harmony. We had not only Indians but Chinese and Malays participating in this competition. Despite the heavy drizzle, the spirits of the players were not dampened. The finals was between BDM Team A against Somerville United. BDM Team A emerged as the winners.

The Guest of Honor Major General Ravinder Singh, Chief of Army, gave away the prizes together with representatives from TRC and SINDA.

At a tea reception after the game, Mr Singh also spent some time with the volunteers who helped out during the Futsal.
